Giatec will be exhibiting their sustainable product ecosystem and presenting the impact of reducing the cement industry’s carbon footprint at this year’s Groundbreak.

OTTAWA, Canada – Giatec®, world leader in concrete testing technologies, will be arriving in force at Procore’s Groundbreak 2022 ready to connect international leaders in sustainable and optimizing construction technology. Groundbreak is a leading North American construction technology conference, bringing together thought leaders in the industry with a diverse array of exhibitions and sessions.

Giatec has also secured the opportunity to present at Groundbreak, following their commitment to building sustainable technology for the concrete industry and speaking their leadership in reducing concrete mix costs to reduce carbon footprint. The presentation, led by Sarah McGuire, Senior Director of Global Business Development, focuses on new and available sustainable tools and technology that are lowering CO2 emissions and the related carbon footprint as companies come together to create sustainable change toward a greener planet.

“The technology for green initiatives already exists. By using AI tools, maturity sensors, and mix management analytic software, producers can adjust the proportions of their mixes and predict how such changes influence their concrete performance. The key to reducing carbon is as simple as reducing your mix costs,” says Sarah.

With more than 8 years of experience in the industry, Sarah speaks to her role in expanding Giatec’s channel partner network through the development of programs to help clients succeed using advanced concrete testing technologies within conventional settings. Sarah will be joined by Tony Maltais, who speaks to his tenure and contributions at Lehigh Hanson as a QC manager. As a former Giatec customer, Tony was inspired by the vision for the future of concrete, and he officially joined the team in early October 2022. At Groundbreak, Tony will provide the contractor’s perspective on reducing mix costs and the related carbon footprint.

Giatec will speak at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans on Tuesday, November 8th at 2:00 pm CST/3:00 pm EST on the 2nd floor, rooms 286-287. Additionally, attendees can find Giatec’s exhibition booth #520 in the main hall from November 7th –9th.
