Pouria Ghods

Dr. Pouria Ghods is a professional entrepreneur and experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working in the concrete industry for the application of smart concrete testing technologies. He has more than 20 years of experience in civil engineering practices related to Concrete Materials Science, Corrosion Engineering, and Non-destructive Testing. Dr. Ghods is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards including the 2018 Forty Under 40, 2012 Ottawa’s 100 Rising Stars and 2011 OCRI Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award for his work at Giatec.

Aali R. Alizadeh

PhD, P.Eng.​

Co-Founder, President and CTO

Dr. Alizadeh has over 15 years of experience in the development and commercialization of technologies related to concrete materials. He brings unique expertise on the durability of concrete at the nano-level, particularly when it relates to infrastructure exposed to harsh environmental conditions. Most recently, Dr. Alizadeh was honored with the National Capital Region’s Forty Under 40 award, which recognizes accomplished business leaders who are under the age of 40 and give back to their community.

Dobrila Moogk

MSEE, MBA

VP, Marketing 

Dobrila has over 25 years of experience in the tech industry, encompassing marketing, product management, and R&D across enterprise, SMB, and SaaS companies in North America and Europe. Her innovative marketing techniques for starting conversations and generating leads are powering Giatec’s growth. Dobrila began her career at Bell-Northern Research and LSI Logic before moving into ventures in IoT and cybersecurity. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Invest Ottawa. 

Matthew Monych

Matthew Monych

VP, North American Sales

Matthew spent almost 20 years in leadership across multiple industries including manufacturing and distribution, national defence, oil and gas, and most recently helped lead a SaaS based company, i-Sight by Customer Expressions Corp., to record revenue growth resulting in acquisition by private equity. His progressive leadership style and focus on building winning teams with scalable processes continues to produce high growth and revenue at Giatec. Matthew also invested 15 years coaching high-performance youth sport in the community.

Kimberly Stone

CPA, CA

VP, Finance & Operations

Kimberly is a designated professional accountant (CPA, CA) and holds an Executive MBA. She brings over 13 years of experience in public accounting, internal audit, risk management, information technology, and human resources and operations management.  Kimberly began her career with audit practice at KPMG LLP, conducting audits for both public and privately held companies. Prior to joining Giatec, Kimberly held leadership positions with Nanometrics Inc. and Parkland Fuel Corporation, overseeing their risk management programs.  
Pamela Heneault

Pamela Heneault

VP, Public Affairs

Pamela has worked in social policy, innovation policy and programs, and sustainable development policy and programs for more than 38 years. She brings academic training in business administration, public administration, and public policy to clients from the public, private and not for profit sectors. Pamela’s expertise in policy analysis and machinery of government enables her to offer superior, actionable strategic counsel, aligned with business goals.

Mustafa Salehi

M.Sc., P.Eng., MBA​

Senior Director, Product Development

Mustafa has more than ten years of experience in the design and development of electronic systems, devices, and sensors for concrete testing. His previous industry experience includes analog and digital circuits design. He has an extensive background in micro-controller/processor programming as well as CPLD/FPGA-based system design. He has designed and developed several electronic instruments for testing and measuring corrosion in reinforced concrete structures.

Sarah McGuire​

Senior Director, Global Business Development

Sarah has been with Giatec since 2015 and leads the revenue efforts across North & South America as the Senior Director of Enterprise Sales.  She completed her BCom at the University of Ottawa and the University of Hong Kong and will be completing her MBA at the Smith’s School of Business. Sarah helped built the foundation of Giatec’s International partner network to drive demand within emerging markets while developing programs to help her clients succeed.

Director, Research & Development

Andrew is Director of Research and Development at Giatec. He has carried out various research projects on the evaluation of supplementary cementing materials and other concrete degradation mechanisms. His graduate studies helped to advance corrosion-monitoring techniques and provided guidelines for their use in laboratory and field applications. Among numerous scholarships, he was awarded the Ketchum Memorial Medal by the University of New Brunswick in 2016 for graduating with the highest standing in Civil Engineering.

Senior Manager, Software Development

Uthaya is an accomplished software leader with 12+ years of experience. She possesses deep expertise in technology trends and with implementing cutting-edge solutions. Uthaya’s result-driven leadership style enables her to leverage technology effectively, driving business growth, and establishing a competitive advantage. Previously, Uthaya held diverse software roles, contributing to the development of a pioneering SaaS architecture for US Government Agencies. She holds an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Michigan State University.
