Monitor SmartRock Data From Any Location

SmartHub is a remote monitoring system that allows you to access your SmartRock data at anytime, from anywhere. These user-friendly sensors are easily installed in the concrete framework (on the rebar) before pouring to monitor your concrete’s in-situ temperature and strength in real-time. The Hub automatically collects this data recorded by the SmartRock sensors and uploads it to the Giatec 360 cloud dashboard via LTE where it is synced to your team’s mobile devices in the SmartRock app. The Giatec 360 alert system sends smart notifications to let you know when your concrete reaches specific thresholds.

SmartHub is a remote monitoring system that enables you to access your concrete data at any time, from any location. The device automatically collects your SmartRock sensor data and uploads it to the Giatec 360 cloud dashboard via LTE where it is synched to the SmartRock app on your team’s mobile devices.

How long does the battery last?

The SmartHub is a battery powered device. Under normal temperature conditions, the battery will last up to roughly 10 days.  The user can remotely monitor the level of the battery, the status (charging, discharging) and the location of the device through the Giatec 360 dashboard.

What is the readings frequency of the SmartHub?

The SmartHub makes a full scan of all sensors within wireless range every 15 minutes and uploads the new sensor information to the Giatec 360 cloud.

Is the SmartHub compatible in my region?

The hub communicates with the cloud through LTE or Wi-Fi connection. Please contact the Giatec Support Team, if you need help setting up your SmartHub for continuous measurements.

How does the SmartHub know which sensors to collect data from?

By logging on to the SmartHub with your Giatec 360 credentials, the SmartHub will know exactly which sensors to collect data from. It is not necessary to pair the sensors with the hub prior to the pour.

FAQs

Each remote monitoring device uses a different wireless technology which impacts the wireless connection range between the sensor and the Hub. The SmartHub – Long Range can be installed at a farther distance, up to 1000 ft (300m) from the 2 in (5cm) embedded SmartRock– Long Range sensors. This means the SmartHub – Long Range will be able to connect simultaneously to sensors in a much larger area.  The SmartHub allows for the same 15-minute remote monitoring connectivity but connects to embedded SmartRock sensors in a 60ft (18 m) radius.

Only SmartRock – Long Range sensors are compatible with the SmartHub – Long Range. Remote monitoring with SmartRock requires the SmartHub.

The SmartRock– Long Range and SmartHub – Long Range are currently only available in North America. For more information on remote monitoring options with SmartHub in your area, please contact a sales representative.

Both SmartRock and the SmartRock – Long range have an internal memory and will continue to collect data until their memory is full. Users can also collect data with their smartphone at any time, independently of whether the SmartRock is connected to a Hub or not. In the event that data transmission stops for any reason, the SmartHub is designed to transmit all missed data collected as soon as connection is regained.
