The Press Blocks development in the Portland, Ore., Goose Hollow Neighborhood spans an entire city block.

The project includes a four-story subterranean parking garage and a 23-story high-rise residential tower—and some significant sustainability objectives. To meet the requirements, Turner Construction Company, the general contractor, worked with many supply chain partners including Heidelberg Materials, ready-mix concrete provider, to complete the project and achieve sustainability goals. One goal was to balance high-quality concrete with optimized lower carbon mixtures, resulting in an overall 38% reduction of global warming potential (GWP) from their baseline.
