Abstract :

► Lightweight blocks produced with insulating properties for building construction. ► Blocks used as insulating materials with thermal conductivity of 0.046–0.069 W/m K. ► Highest compressive strength of 0.08 MPa with density of 473 kg/m3. ► Addition of waste paper had a dominant influence strength and thermal conductivity. ► Influence of sawdust size with 2 mm sieve being more suitable than 3 mm sawdust.
